BlueStacks 5 is out of beta: with a huge library of games and improved performance

In February 2021, the BlueStacks developers officially unveiled the beta version of the new version of their emulator – BlueStacks 5. This application, which is available on Windows and macOS, allows users to run mobile applications and games that are usually installed on smartphones from the Google Play digital store. Moreover, the application provides the ability to work with a mouse and keyboard – they are supported even in games. And from today, May 19, BlueStacks 5 has gone into official release – beta testing is over and everyone can download the emulator on the official website.

Already, the application is available for free to everyone from all over the world, there is no need to wait for deployment by region. However, the journalists of the information publication Android Authority noted that they were actively testing the fifth numbered version of BlueStacks, and there is practically no difference between the beta version and the release application. The emulator works as it should, no radically new functions have appeared in the full version of the software, but the developers have tightened up the optimization. And it is because of it that the new version of BlueStacks looks so attractive – the performance of the application has increased, while the consumption of RAM has decreased.

The developers of BlueStacks 5 stated that the new version of the application is so different from BlueStacks 4 that it is impossible to update with a patch – the user needs to install the system from scratch. And although both versions of the software are built on Android 7 Nougat, which may cause compatibility problems for some modern video games and applications, the “five” starts faster and runs smoother. For example, in shooters, the FPS should increase, and the frame rate itself should become smoother.
