In April 2023, decentralized storage infrastructure provider BNB Greenfield launched a network testnet. For several months, users could deploy nodes and test the functionality of the ecosystem.
The developers clarified that during testing the network processed more than 200,000 on-network transactions and was connected to 150,000 unique wallet addresses.
According to the team, BNB Greenfield is focused on secure and decentralized data storage. It has high throughput, built-in access control and a number of other useful functions.
In September 2023, the BNB Chain team launched the mainnet of another opBNB project. We analyzed its architecture and operating principles in detail.
