The date of the public hearing on the Eletrobras capitalization process was changed, from December 22 to January 5, according to a notice from the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), published in the Diário Oficial da União.
The information was published in a statement issued by Eletrobras to the market this Monday (20).
The government maintained its forecast of capitalizing Eletrobras before June 2022, supported by a decision by the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU), which allowed the continuity of studies for capitalization, although some TCU ministers have made reservations.
TCU decided to accept Minister Vital do Rêgo’s request for views on the Eletrobras capitalization process, and the analysis of the case will be for 2022.
On Friday night (17), Eletrobras launched its new business and management master plan, covering the period from 2022 to 2026, which includes the capitalization of the company.
The plan foresees an investment of R$48.3 billion, an increase of almost 90% compared to the previous plan, which, excluding Angra 3, provided for an investment of R$25.8 billion.
