BNP: Work-from-home agreement with 132,000 employees

BNP Paribas SA has reached one of the largest work-from-home deals between the world’s largest banks, with more than 132,000 employees having the option to work from home for up to half a week, according to Bloomberg .

Bank staff in 22 European countries will be able to decide whether to work from home every week for 2.5 days or adopt a more flexible schedule, the bank announced today. Employees should be in the office at least one day a week.

Societe Generale SA, meanwhile, signed an agreement with the unions last year that allows its executives to work from home for up to three days a week, although the agreement only covers French employees and has not been extended to other countries. Of Europe.

Last month, the Swiss UBS Group AG decided to allow some of its employees in the US to work remotely full-time. The bank expects 10% of its employees to choose remote work.
