Five bodies were found during excavations in a forested area between the Pricumã and Cinturão Verde neighborhoods, in Boa Vista-RO, in the early evening of last Monday (20). The complaint was made to the Military Police.
“According to preliminary information from DGH delegate, Luís Fernando, investigations indicate that the location may be a clandestine cemetery, possibly related to criminal activities by a group of Venezuelans,” the Civil Police stated in a statement.
The PM agents called the General Homicide Police Station, which mobilized Civil Police teams to the scene and had support from the Tactical Force, Shock, the Legal Medical Institute (IML) and the Criminalistics Institute.
A task force of security teams went to the location and swept the area in order to locate and identify other bodies.
Four people were arrested on suspicion of participating in the hiding of the bodies. The victims have not yet been identified by the IML.
Despite the logistical conditions of the place, Luís Fernando highlights the task force’s commitment to clarifying the facts and confirming the participation of the four detainees.
