The governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite, spoke on social media about the plane crash in Gramado, which left at least nine dead, this Sunday morning (22), and stated that machines are being moved to assist in the evacuation. of the bodies of the accident victims, in addition to the wreckage of the aircraft.

The accident happened on Avenida das Hortênsias and initial information suggests that the small aircraft crashed into stores and houses. According to the governor, in the latest update, preliminary information also indicates that 14 victims and nine occupants of the aircraft were identified.

“Hospitals are treating the affected people. Unfortunately, two of them appear to be in serious condition due to burns,” said Leite. The governor also states that this is a situation that requires care and caution in removing the aircraft structure, in order to avoid the “collapse of the area”, which still presents instability.

The plane crashed in Gramado, in the Serra Gaúcha, on Sunday morning (22). The accident happened on Avenida das Hortênsias.
