The bodies of singer Marília Mendonça and her uncle Abicieli Silveira Dias Filho were buried this Saturday (6), at Cemitério Parque Memorial, in Goiânia, in a ceremony for family and friends. Outside, fans stand around the venue to participate – even from a distance – in the farewell.
The artist and four other people died in a plane crash on Friday (5), in Minas Gerais.
The wake of Marília and Silveira Dias was held this Saturday afternoon at the Goiânia Arena gym. The body of producer Henrique Ribeiro was taken to Salvador, Bahia, where it was veiled and buried.
The aircraft pilot, Geraldo Martins de Medeiros, and the co-pilot, Tarciso Pessoa Viana, who also died in the plane crash, will be veiled in private ceremonies.

In Goiânia, in addition to family and friends of Marília, such as Maiara and Maraisa, Henrique and Juliano, Jorge (from the duo Jorge & Mateus) and Mateus (from the duo Matheus & Kauan), thousands of people went to the sports center to say goodbye to the artist.
The state government’s forecast was that around 100,000 people could pass through the gym for the artist’s wake.
The bodies of Marília and Abicieli arrived around 10:25 am in Goiânia. Shortly thereafter, they were taken to the Goiânia Arena. At around 1:15 pm, the ceremony was opened so that the public could pay homage. At 4:15 pm, the fans left the place so that the singer and her uncle could be taken to the cemetery.
The accident
The accident happened in Piedade de Caratinga, in Vale do Rio Doce, in the west of Minas Gerais. The plane crashed at a distance of three kilometers from the airport in Caratinga, the city where the singer would perform.
The aircraft fell into a watercourse near an access road on the BR-474 highway. Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais (Cemig) reported that the plane hit a cable in a power distribution tower of the company in Caratinga.
The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) and the Civil Police of Minas Gerais are investigating the accident.

Marília Mendonça was 26 years old and has a one-year-old child. She began to stand out as a young songwriter at 12 years old. He collected some of the biggest hits in Brazil, such as “Infiel”, “Supera”, “Ciumeira” and “De Quem é a Culpa”.
