The South Korean Ministry of Transport is preparing to order all airlines in the country, which have Boeing jets, to examine fuel switches according to a 2018 Directive of the US Federal Aviation Service (FAA), a spokesman said today. The spokesman did not give a timetable for the checks. Boeing did not immediately respond to a request to comment. The fuel switches lock was under consideration after the 2018 directive by FAA reported a preliminary investigation into Air India’s Boeing 787-8 airplane last month, which claimed the lives of 260 people.
