The primary result of the state budget for the period January – May amounted to a deficit of 1.8 billion euros from a deficit of 8.6 billion euros in the corresponding period last year, according to data announced today by the Bank of Greece.
In the period January-May 2022, the central government cash balance showed a deficit of 4.994 billion euros compared to a deficit of 11.578 billion euros in the corresponding period of 2021.
During this period, the regular budget revenues amounted to 19.924 billion euros, from 16.514 billion euros last year. As for the regular budget expenditures, they amounted to 24.569 billion euros, from 26.764 billion euros in the period January-May 2021.
