Bolsonaro decides to revoke restrictions on flights from African countries

President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) decided to lift restrictions on flights from African countries imposed at the end of last year, after the emergence of the Ômicron variant of Covid-19.

In this Friday’s Official Gazette (21), Bolsonaro revoked Interministerial Ordinance No. and which established specific protocols for cargo flights under the same conditions.

The ordinance also suspended the boarding authorization of foreign travelers passing through these countries in the fourteen days prior to the trip.

Even with the repeal of the previous decree, the new text, published this Friday, maintains all the other criteria for entry into Brazil via air transport, such as presenting a negative test for Covid-19 and proof of vaccination.

Those with a health condition that contraindicates vaccination, coming from countries with low vaccination coverage and*/or* ineligible for immunization due to age, do not need to present proof.
