The President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, increased the number of members of the collegiate board of the National Waterway Transport Agency (Antaq).
By means of a provisional measure published in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU) This Tuesday (7), Bolsonaro determines that the agency will now have a director-general and four directors.
Before, the board of the body was formed by a general director and two directors.
To implement the change, the interim measure transforms 70 FG1, 80 FG2 and 47 FG3 rewarded roles into two new Commissioned Director (CD) and Executive Management (CGE) positions and six additional advisor positions to support the two new directorates.
The General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic says that the decision aims to provide conditions for Antaq to “intensify actions to improve waterway transport”.
“It is noteworthy that the measure does not imply an increase in expenses, given that the positions are created through the transformation of existing trust functions”, he explains in a note distributed to the press.
