The actor also urged Biden to “stay on the side of democracy”.
The meeting between Biden and Bolsonaro took place during the Summit of the Americas, a meeting of leaders of the continent that has been taking place since Monday (6), in Los Angeles.
Após o encontro com Biden, também pelo Twitter, Bolsonaro respondeu o ator, a quem chamou de “Mark Ruffles”, em uma série de posts redigidos em inglês.
The Brazilian president made a relationship with superheroes, often associated with Ruffalo for his portrayal of Hulk in cinema.
“Let me make it simple: if Captain America was elected by more than 55 million people and Thanos, who is a foreigner and knows nothing about the US, tries to interfere in American territory or the American electoral process, then it is Thanos and not the Captain who is disrespecting democracy”, he wrote, in a reference to the villain of the comic series.
“I’m sure you’ve never read the Brazilian Constitution, but I can assure you it’s nothing like the complicated Hulk scripts you have to memorize,” Bolsonaro said. The president also said that he “has always been on the side of democracy”.
– Dear Mark Ruffles, calm down! I’m sure you have never read the Brazilian Constitution, but I can assure you it’s nothing like the complicated Hulk scripts you have to memorize:”AHGFRR”. Read it and you’ll find out I’m not only respecting it, but protecting Brazil’s rule of law. https://t.co/djBbccMAPX

The president also criticized the left, saying that rulers with this political orientation “want to control the press, curb freedom of expression, the internet, in addition to financing governments such as Cuba and Venezuela”.
Bolsonaro also criticized the role played by Ruffalo. “The original Hulk was much cooler. He didn’t need a computer to look strong and he really understood something about nature.”
