President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) said this Wednesday (24th) that he will reduce the Tax on Industrialized Products (IPI). According to the representative, the tax reduction will soon be published in the Official Gazette.
“Soon, another IPI reduction will be published in the Official Gazette. We are giving up taxes and collecting more”, said the president during a rally in Belo Horizonte.
He also highlighted that, in the last week, his government zeroed the import tax on food supplements, such as whey protein, creatine and other sports nutrition items. “My fury is not a tax collector. I know the salary is short, but we are recovering”, pointed out Bolsonaro.
At another point, the president highlighted that the country should have deflation this month and commented on the reduction in fuel prices. “We got a cap on the state tax not only on fuel, but also on electricity.”
