On a trip to Russia, President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) said he talked to ministers to help victims of the storm that hit Petrópolis, in Rio de Janeiro. According to the CNNhe plans to visit the region as he did in São Paulo, when he flew over cities hit by rain in early February.
Bolsonaro is expected to return to Brazil after the meeting he will have with the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, on Thursday (17). Today, the president has an agenda with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
On social media, Bolsonaro wrote, this Wednesday (16), that he became aware of the situation during his trip to Moscow, and spoke with the governor of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro. “I made several calls to Ministers @rogeriosmarinho and Paulo Guedes for immediate assistance to the victims, as well as I talked to @DefesaGovBr, General Braga Neto, who accompanies me in Russia”.
