Bolsonaro’s mother’s wake
President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) returned to Brazil after the death of his mother, Dona Olinda, at age 94. Bolsonaro interrupted the presidential trip to Suriname to attend the wake in Eldorado, in the interior of São Paulo.
Leakage at the Central Bank
The Central Bank (BC) reported that there was a leak of data linked to Pix keys that were under the responsibility of the digital bank Acesso. The BC states that sensitive data, such as passwords, balances and transaction history, were not leaked.
Credit for companies
The search for corporate credit had a historic high of 20.6% in 2021. The Serasa Experian demand indicator also points out that micro and small companies boosted the index. It is the highest high of the entire series, which started in 2008.

A man survived 27 hours at sea after the tsunami that hit the Tonga archipelago. The Tongan was living on the isolated island of Atata when he was swept away by the water and left adrift. He swam 7.5 kilometers to reach the island of Tongatapu.
