The Central Bank (BC) released a new website this morning for consulting the Values Receivable System (SVR), after the platform originally opened in January had technical problems and suffered from instability. Transfers of “forgotten values” at bank branches and financial institutions can be made from March 7.
Bolsonaro in Russia
President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) leaves this Monday (14) for Russia, where he will meet with President Vladimir Putin in the capital Moscow. The trip had been scheduled since last year – but the realization comes amid strong tension between the Russian government and Ukraine, with troop deployments and the threat of a military invasion of Kiev.
Ukraine calls for meeting
Ukraine has convened a meeting with Russia and all other member countries of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe to discuss the presence of troops on the country’s borders. According to the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, the neighboring country must fulfill its commitment to military transparency to reduce tensions.
Moise Kabagambe case
Eight parliamentarians from the Human Rights and Minorities Commissions in the National Congress travel to Rio de Janeiro today to follow the investigations into the murder of Congolese Moïse Kabagambe, who was clubbed to death in a kiosk in Barra da Tijuca at the end of January. The deputies’ agenda includes meetings with the victim’s family, lawyers, prosecutors and other authorities.
Death of Palmeiras fan
A group of prosecutors from the Public Prosecutor’s Office will follow the investigation into the death of a Palmeiras fan who was shot outside Allianz Parque, in the west of São Paulo, after the Club World Cup final against Chelsea. The victim was 35 years old and was shot by a prison guard who was also following the game – he claims self-defense.
