Bolsonaru to back UN resolution against invasion of Ukraine without directly condemning it

In favor of a resolution in the UN Security Council which is against Russia invasion of Ukraine Brazilian President Zaich Bolsonaro is expected to step down but neither he nor his country’s foreign ministry has directly condemned the attack.

The United Nations Security Council meets in a short time with the urgency procedure at the request of Ukraine and the information that Bolsonaru will support the resolution were confirmed to Reuters by two sources close to the talks.

The president Zaich Bolsonaruwho recently met in Moscow with President Vladimir Putin, yesterday criticized Vice President Hamilton Murao for condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine and said it was not his job to talk about the crisis in Eastern Europe.

The Brazilian Foreign Ministry, as reported by the Athens News Agency, expressed concern about the Russian military operations and called for a diplomatic solution, but did not immediately condemn the invasion.
