“Bombing” by racist leaflets and posters in favor of white supremacy in the US

There has been a rapid increase in the distribution of racist and anti-Semitic leaflets by far-right and white supremacist organizations in 2020 on USA according to a survey published on Wednesday (17/3).

The US-based Jewish Anti-Defamation League (ADL) international Jewish NGO reported a total of 5,125 such cases last year, up from 2,724 in 2019.

Her report, according to the Athens News Agency, was based on written propaganda and headlines, not emails.

This is the highest number since ADL, which monitors the activities of domestic and international hate organizations, began recording it in 2016.

Jessica Reeves, director of the organization’s Center for Extremism, said far-right organizations use posters and leaflets to draw attention to online material.

According to her, these organizations believe that such propaganda intimidates minority groups. “They want people to be scared,” Reeves says characteristically.

Although the material examined comes from 30 different organizations, the ADL reports that more than 90% come from the Patriotic Front, the New Jersey European Heritage Association, or the Nationalist Social Club.

In fact, according to the ADL, the Patriotic Front, based in Texas, is responsible for 80% of all incidents.

The Front, which was formed in 2017, tried last year to make its mark by avoiding the use of symbols and words in favor of white supremacy and preferring phrases such as “America First”, “We Stand Together” and “Two Parties”. A Tyranny “, noted the ADL.

In contrast, the New Jersey European Heritage Association, which operates in 23 states, used openly anti-Semitic and anti-American rhetoric in the material.
