I’m full of hope and excitement “ continued Bong Joon-ho before the Director of the Venice Film Festival Alberto barbera expressed all his joy for the goal achieved: «The first good news regarding the 78th Venice Film Festival is that Bong Joon-ho enthusiastically accepted to preside over the Jury. The decision to entrust the Jury to a Korean filmmaker, for the first time in the history of the festival, is also the confirmation that the Venetian festival embraces cinema from all over the world, and that directors from every country know they can consider Venice their second home “concluded Barbera, confirming the intention of the Venice Film Festival to move forward and to represent an ever-burning beacon for cinema around the world, bent by pandemic and billionaire losses that still today put the sector in crisis.
