Boni reveals why it wasn’t Globo’s 60 -year -old special

The entrepreneur José Bonifácio de Oliveira Sobrinho known by the nickname Boni 89, explained the reason for not going to the celebration party of the 60 TV Globo this Monday (28), where worked for 31 years .

“I was not invited. I think these parties are more dedicated to the people of the video because it was not the story of television, it was a birthday. Backstage do not need to celebrate, unless it was a documentary,” he said in an interview with Veja Rio magazine.

According to the entrepreneur, other important big winners of the station’s programs were not invited, quoting Walter Clark and Joe Wallach.

“It doesn’t bother me. What matters is what I did,” said Boni.

Boninho’s father began working on TV Globo in 1967 and told in a documentary that he received the mission of Roberto Marinho – journalist and founder of the company – to transform the program and leverage the audience, along with other young talents, such as directors Walter Clark and Daniel Filho.

He was involved in the launch of Jornal Nacional in 1969, and in the investment of the broadcaster in different programs formats for the public, from children’s to musical and humorous programs.

TV Globo celebrated on the night of Monday (28) its 60 years of existence.
