Boris Johnson and Olaf Solz condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson today condemned the “horrific developments in Ukraine”, saying that Russian President Vladimir Putin “chose the path of bloodshed and destruction by launching this unprovoked attack”.

“The United Kingdom and our allies will react decisively,” he said on Twitter, adding that he had spoken earlier today with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Solts: Russia’s “unprovoked” attack “gross violation” of international law

German Chancellor Olaf Solz has called the Russian military operation in Ukraine a “gross violation” of international law and called it a “black day” for the whole of Europe.

“Germany strongly condemns” the attack ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin in a “ruthless” manner and expresses “solidarity with Ukraine and its citizens”.

He added that he would discuss with Germany’s partners in the European Union and the G7 the measures that the West had warned it would impose on Russia in the event of an attack.

Berbok: People “will not forget” Russia’s military action in Ukraine

German Foreign Minister Alena Berbok has said that the international community “will not forget” Russia’s military action in Ukraine, as reported by the Russian news agency Ria Novosti.

“By attacking Ukraine, Russia is violating the most basic rules of the international order. The world community will not forget this day. We will respond together with our partners. All our solidarity is with Ukraine,” he said.
