Boris Johnson denounces ‘immoral’ Russian attack on Mariupol children’s hospital

The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson today called “immoral” the bombing of a children’s hospital in Mariupol, in southeastern Ukraine, which left 17 injured by hospital staff, according to a regional official.

“There are few things more immoral than targeting the vulnerable and the defenseless,” Boris Johnson said in a Twitter post about the Russian attack on the hospital.

“The United Kingdom is studying how to better support Ukraine in defending itself against air strikes, and we will hold Putin accountable for his heinous crimes,” he said.

British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said today that he intended to continue delivering anti-tank missiles to Ukraine after the Russian invasion, as part of the country’s defense support.

About 3,615 NLAWs (portable anti-tank missiles) have been delivered “to date” and the UK will deliver “more”, he said, adding that a “small shipment” of Javelin anti-tank missiles was also planned.
