The Prime Minister of Britain Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie named their daughter Romy Iris Charlotte Johnson, who came into the world a few days ago, choosing names associated with both of their families. Carrie Johnson said that Romi was chosen because it was the name of her aunt Rosemary, while Iris is inspired by the Greek Iris, which is equivalent to a rainbow and Charlotte was the name of Boris Johnson’s mother, who passed away in September this year, reports APE-MPE.
“Welcome to the world dear Romi”, wrote Carrie Johnson in a message on social media, referring to her daughter, who was born in a London hospital on December 9.
Romi is the couple’s second child, after their son Wilfred, who was born in April 2020. The British Prime Minister and Carrie Johnson, 33, were married in May this year.
Boris Johnson, 57, had been married twice before he avoids saying how many children he has. He and his second wife, lawyer Marina Wheeler, have four children.
