Boris Johnson: Putin’s Failure Key to World Prosperity

After the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) meeting held on Thursday (24), UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson told a news conference that he expects “Putin’s failure” by invading Ukraine.

“Putin’s failure in Ukraine is critical to the peace and prosperity of us all and his invasion has spurred the entire community to collective action,” he said.

According to the prime minister, the UK will supply 6,000 more missiles and 25 million pounds to Ukraine.

“We will work with our allies to provide assistance to Ukraine on a massive scale. Assisting President Zelensky with the quality and quantity he needs to protect his country from its aggressive neighbor.”

The NATO meeting took place on the same day that marks one month since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. The meeting took place in Brussels and was attended by US President Joe Biden.

Johnson reiterated that he is “on the side of the people of Kiev, Mariupol, Lviv and Donetsk. And, as President Zelensky said: the people of Ukraine will prevail and Putin must fail, and he will fail,” he defended.
