Boris Johnson will marry his fiancee in July 2022

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will marry his fiancee Carrie Symonds, with whom he has a one-year-old son, at the end of July 2022, the tabloid reported. The Sun Monday 24 May. The Conservative leader will be the first incumbent head of government to marry in about 200 years. According to the newspaper, which does not quote its sources, the invitations for the ceremony, scheduled for July 30 in an undisclosed location, have been sent to family and friends.

Boris Johnson, 56, and Carrie Symonds, 33, a former Conservative Party communications advisor, announced in February 2020 that they were expecting a baby, along with their engagement. Their son Wilfred was born on April 29, 2020. Downing Street did not comment.

The first cohabiting partners to occupy Downing Street

Married twice, Boris Johnson separated in 2018 from his wife after some 26 years of marriage and appeared in public alongside Carrie Symonds in early 2019. They had already marked the history of the United Kingdom by being the first couple living in cohabitation to occupy Downing Street, the official residence of the Prime Minister in London.

Boris Johnson was recently blamed for the luxurious renovation of his official apartment, which he claimed to have paid for himself, without however saying whether or not he had received a loan or an initial donation from from a Conservative Party donor. The executive has four children from his second marriage to Marina Wheeler. The British press lends him a fifth illegitimate child.
