In the statement issued on behalf of the EU, it underlines that Iran is expected to immediately stop the violent suppression of the protests and ensure access to the internet and the free flow of information.
In addition, the EU expects Tehran to clarify the number of deaths and arrests and to release all non-violent protesters, the statement said.
“The European Union will continue to consider all the options available to it before the next Foreign Affairs Council to deal with the killing of Mahsa Amini and the way in which the Iranian security forces responded to the protests that followed,” he said. Joseph Borel.
