Boston University Package Exploded – Contained Note Criticizing Mark Zuckerberg

The alarm went off at Northwestern University Bostonas exploded a parcel, which contained a note criticizing him Mark Zuckerbergon the development of artificial intelligence technology.

According to Reuters, the memo also denounced the relationship between virtual reality developers and the university community, according to the US television network citing law enforcement imgs.

A university worker who grabbed the package after receiving it on Tuesday was injured in the blast and taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries to his hands, Boston police said. A second package that was considered suspicious was neutralized.

Police said they are investigating the incident in cooperation with Boston Fire and EMS. Some evening classes were canceled yesterday, Tuesday, but the university will operate as normal today, Northeastern said on its website.

Authorities have not said who may have sent the package or why Northeastern was targeted.

CNN and Boston’s WCVB reported that the package contained a note criticizing Zuckerberg. The company Meta has developed a virtual reality platform, Horizon. The memo’s author warns people against working with VR developers, according to CNN. WCVB reported that the memo was unsigned and generally warned people not to do business with Zuckerberg.

The note was inside a pressurized container that exploded when it was opened, while police at other Boston universities, including Harvard and MIT, urged people to be extra vigilant and call the authorities if they saw any suspicious package.
