How are vegetables cooked? Which are the best to cook in the oven, which in a pan or steamed? How are legumes and cereals cooked? You learn all these things – simple – in the new book by Carlotta Perego, Botanical, vegetable, quick and easy cooking. And you learn a lot recipes beautiful and happy like her. Recipes taken from Italian cuisine, recipes born by opening the fridge and studying the ingredients available, or recipes from Carlotta’s heart, transformed into a “vegetable version” like that of Gnocchi 4P, one of the summer dishes in Liguria with tomato, pesto, cream and Parmesan, revisited in a “plant based” key. But there are many recipes, over eighty, in the book, from those for breakfast with the inevitable cookies e brownies to appetizers, to main courses, from pink beetroot meatballs to sweet potato pies to recipes of exotic inspiration, for her who is a traveler and can’t wait to leave (“Even if I would like to go to the least” vegetable “place of all, Scotland “).

A new way to discover vegetables and a book that promises a lot to everyone. «I wrote it thinking of someone like my mother», says Carlotta at the presentation in Milan, shining in a rhinestone dress, and laughs, adding «I can say many things about her, but not that she is very good in the kitchen. I want to say that this book is designed for everyone, even those who don’t cook but want to start ». And he continues: «Many people who see my recipes tell me ‘wow I can do them too’, and that’s what I love the most».

And of this great capacity, that of giving recipes that are tasty, easy to make and that are good, in short, Carlotta has written her new book on her ability to simplify. I expected to sell 5,000 copies of the former, but instead I sold 130,000, he says, with the consent of the publisher – Gribaudo. Who knows how this will go … You can start trying some recipes here.
