BOX NOW is completing an investment of 10 million euros by the end of the year with the aim of developing the largest network of automatic parcel receiving machines in Greece. Completing one year since its launch, BOX NOW, a subsidiary of Emma Capital Group – with investments in the Greek market such as OPAP, Piraeus Bank and Profarm – has served more than 20,000 consumers, at the same time noting an increase in the number of individual parcels with geometric progress that has reached +1000% since the beginning of its operation.
According to what the company’s CCO Dimitris Andriotis mentioned yesterday in the context of an informative meeting with journalists, BOX NOW has an expanded nationwide network, with over 650 green, eco-friendly Lockers already installed, which are expected to exceed 1200 nationwide by end of 2022. BOX NOW Lockers are already located in more than 90 regions of Greece (Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Tripoli, Chalkida, Pyrgos, Kalamata, ‘Argos, Agrinio, Larissa, etc.). By the end of July BOX NOW Lockers will be located in Crete, by the end of the year in Rhodes as well as in other islands in the first half of 2023. For the further development of the network of automatic parcel receiving machines, the company is constantly closing new cooperation agreements with restaurant chains, supermarkets, gas stations, etc. In the same context, BOX NOW extended its cooperation with the BestPrice.gr platform, approximately 8 months after its launch, to the service of returns. The aim of the initiative is to provide an easy, fast and economical product return solution for the customers of the 3,500+ online stores participating in the platform.
At the same time, BOX NOW is launching the doubling of both its vehicle fleet (from 40 today) and its human resources (from 70 today) by the end of the year. As mentioned, the company in the quarter of April, May, June doubled the volumes of parcels it handles and is experiencing an aggressive growth rate. The administration’s plan includes claiming a three-year share of 15% of the total market for parcels handled by e-commerce, a market roughly estimated at 120-140 million euros a year.
At the same time, it is planned to establish a subsidiary company in Cyprus in 2023 for the development of a network of automatic parcel receiving machines. It is noted that two new sister companies have been established in Bulgaria and Croatia two months ago. By October, the first BOX NOW Lockers will have been installed in both countries.
BOX NOW is also addressed to eshop owners – it already cooperates with more than 130 (B2B) but also with the consumer (B2C) and even with traditional parcel transport companies for same-day delivery in Attica in a few hours and delivery within 24h in mainland Greece, receipt 24/7 for the consumer close to his home or work by having a competitive pricing policy in relation to home delivery.
BOX NOW’s automatic parcel pick-up machines are completely autonomous and run exclusively on solar energy, offering an innovative and environmentally friendly way of delivering orders. They are placed in key points of the city, so that the consumer himself has 24/7 access to the automatic receiving machine and his parcel, contactless, easy and simple.
It is a smart package receiving machine that allows orders to be received easily and quickly. In particular, the consumer follows the usual ordering process in an e-shop, but upon completion selects the “Delivery from a BOX NOW” option as the means of delivery and then the desired automatic parcel pick-up machine that serves him. Within the next 24 hours the order is delivered to the selected automatic parcel pick-up machine and then the consumer receives an SMS with a PIN code to open the locker as well as instructions to the selected BOX NOW Locker. Going at any time of the day to the automatic package receiving machine, he enters the PIN and the corresponding box opens automatically, receiving his order. The parcel remains in the mailbox up to 3 days from its delivery.
