We had already said it before, grandparents should be eternal, and in a way they are. And it is that how can we forget those beings who have given us so much love, tenderness, whims and their best stories, if every time we see them, even when we are adults, we become girls when we are close to them. In addition, we want to share with you the most important moments of our lives.
It is for this reason that we empathize with the emotion of a young man who invited his grandmother to his graduation party, not only because of the great love he feels for her, but also because of all the gratitude for having shared great moments by his side and the terrible diagnosis that the lady received a short time ago.
It all started when Julia Jarman, 92, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Due to the progression of her disease, the specialists determined that she only had six more months to live. When her grandson, young Stephen Vigil, found out about her, she did not hesitate to do everything possible so that the last time of her grandmother was the best of her life.
It was so that the two of them, in the company of Stephen’s sister, made a trip to Florida, United States, where they celebrated Mother’s Day and took the opportunity to go to the cemetery where their relatives were, the same as, by the way, Julia I wanted to visit for a long time.
During that period they dedicated themselves to being with Julia, so one fine day when Stephen’s graduation date was approaching, his sister suggested that he take his grandmother to the party as his companion. Although it was not a bad idea, for the young man there was a problem, because according to school policies, only couples under 20 years of age were allowed.
However, this was not an obstacle, because the boy immediately asked the director if he could make an exception, and he did. When Stephen invited her grandmother, Julia delightedly accepted and happily attended the dance arm in arm with her, where they both spent an unforgettable evening.
My grandmother has been one of my best friends since I was born and I decided to take her to prom because I wanted to do something special for her.
Unfortunately, after a while, Mrs. Julia passed away, and although she will be sorely missed by her grandchildren, Stephen feels very calm that he made her happy until the last moment of her life.
