Boy took his puppy to a shelter so his dad wouldn’t abuse him anymore

Those responsible for the Xollin animal shelter, located in Pachuca, Mexico, shared on their Facebook account the peculiar arrival of a small pitbull, which was left at the door of the place with a stuffed animal and a letter.

The letter was written by a little boy who explained the reason why he gave his friend to them, as he feared that his puppy would suffer the mistreatment of his father.

In the Facebook post of the shelter you can read the child’s letter, which explains in detail his reasons for abandoning his best friend:

My name is Andrés and I am 12 years old. Between my mommy and I we decided to leave it in your hands secretly from my dad because he was thinking of selling it, but he mistreats him and kicks him. Once he kicked him so hard it hurt his tail.

I hope they can help you and take care of you. I leave you a stuffed animal so you don’t forget me. They will have to check his tail, since it appears to be fractured, and deworm him.

The post went viral and the shelter received more than 300 applications to adopt the little pit bull. However, they are still evaluating the best option for the dog. On the other hand, the staff took the opportunity to remember that they had 120 pets waiting to be adopted and tried to educate others about animal care.

The little dog will be named after René and will be given to the right family for him.
I know that I have not answered many messages in time, but I never believed that more than 300 requests would arrive from different states of the Republic to adopt René. If everyone opened their heart and home like this puppy, ALL of our shelter dogs would have been adopted.

As for the minor, there are no details, but a search has already been generated to provide the corresponding help.
