Abdou came out without warning. We didn’t know he would go to the river: if he had told me, I would never have given him permission».

The pain is amplified by the absence of a body to be buried: «We live a double pain: our son died and we do not have a body to cry. It is important for us to get his body back, he would raise at least one of the suffering. After his death, we celebrated two ceremonies in Bra and Senegal, where Abdou’s grandparents still live. And there that we have to bring it back ».

Assisted by the lawyer Francesca Carpino, Khadim wrote to the Prefect to ask for a new patrol of the Tanarotaking advantage of the level of water today lowest and the sides uncovered. «I have confidence in justice and in the judiciary.
