Brad Pitt turns 60; discover the best and worst films with the actor

Brad Pitt celebrates his 60th birthday this Monday (18). Born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, in the United States, the actor went to California in the 1980s, when he began trying to pursue a career in acting.

The first prominent film in which Pitt acted was “Thelma & Louise” (1991). After participating in the film, he has already acted in major blockbusters, such as “Fight Club” (1999), “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” (2005) and “Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood” (2019).

With an extensive acting CV, the artist has worked on several films as an actor and also as a producer.

The website Rotten Tomatoes ranked the films in which the artist participated, the best of which was the documentary “Big Men” (2013), in which he was executive producer, and received 100% approval, while “Mundo Proibido” (1992) had 4% approval, being the worst in the artist ranking.

Among the productions in which Pitt worked as an actor, the best rating was for the film “12 Years a Slave” (2013), rated 95% on the website. The story is set in the period before the Civil War in the United States, telling the story of Solomon Northup, a free black man from upstate New York, who is kidnapped and sold into slavery in the South. The film is available on StarPlus.

“The Man Who Changed the Game” (2011) had a rating of 94% and tells the story of the Oakland A’s manager, who one day has an epiphany that baseball’s conventional wisdom is totally wrong and manages to reinvent his team with a low budget, outperforming its opponents. The film is available on Prime Video and can be rented on Apple TV+.

“Love at Point Blank” (1993) is rated at 93% and tells the story of Clarence, a comic book nerd and Elvis fanatic, who falls in love with a prostitute named Alabama. The film can be seen on the OldFlix streaming service.

“Inglourious Basterds” (2009) has an approval rating of 89% and is set in the first year of Nazi occupation in France. Lieutenant Aldo Raine assembles a team of Jewish soldiers to commit violent acts of retribution against the Nazis, including taking their scalps. Tarantino’s film can be watched on StarPlus or rented on Apple TV+.

“The Big Short” (2015) also has an 89% approval rating on the website and explains the story of the subprime collapse, which generated the 2008 crisis in the United States. The work can be watched on Prime Video and HBO Max.

Among the actor’s worst films: “Mundo Proibido” (1992) is the last on the list, with 4% approval; “Murder at College” (1989) has a 14% approval rating; “Johnny Suede” (1991) has 27% approval; “An Indecent Favor” (1994) also has 27%; and “À Beira Mar” (2015) is the fifth worst on the list with a score of 35%.
