Determined to put an end to any scandal, the government made its commitment and tabled an amendment to curb the appetite of those who try to take advantage of the situation for their own benefit.
The amendment was tabled in the bill of the Ministry of Shipping under the title “Modernization of the institutional Framework for the activity of pleasure boats and cruise ships, strengthening the competitiveness of the seagoing industry and other provisions”.
It is noted that for some time now the competent Minister of Development, Adonis Georgiadis, had announced the controversial amendment, in the aftermath of the imposition of a large fine on a well-known supermarket chain, for scandal.
The amendment of the Ministry of Development and Investment provides – among others – the following:
-The publication of the name of offenders from the audits for scandal
The imposition of a 3% ceiling on professional rent increases and
– The adoption of a new regulatory framework that will intervene against the unfair profit in agricultural products.
