South Korean company Kia has officially unveiled the inexpensive seven-seater Kia Carens 2022, and now it is not a minivan, but a crossover.
The car received a new design, which is somewhat reminiscent of the Sportage and Soul. The 2022 Kia Carens features a redesigned grille and distinctive LED daytime running lights. The dimensions of the new car are 4540 x 1800 x 1700 mm with a wheelbase of 2780 mm. Its ground clearance is increased to 195 mm.
Kia Carens 2022 will be available with 6 and 7-seater salons, the second row is electrically foldable. Interior space has been increased, with a digital instrument panel and a 10.25-inch display for the infotainment system.
All 2022 Kia Carens are equipped with 6 airbags, ESP, air conditioning and parking sensors. The older version received a panoramic roof with a sunroof, a Hi-Secure security package, a climate control system, seat ventilation, wireless charging for smartphones, Bose acoustics and 8 speakers, 64-color ambient interior lighting.
The crossover will be available with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 115 hp, a 1.4-liter petrol turbo engine producing 140 hp. and a 1.5-liter turbodiesel with 115 hp. The box can be a 6-speed manual transmission, a variator or with a 7-speed “robot”.
Sales start in February at a price of $ 20,000 in India.
