Brave browser integrated Cardano support

The Brave browser added support for Cardano cryptocurrency to its native and autonomous wallets. Users will be able to directly control assets and participate in the votes of the ecosystem.

Integration was the result of the partnership between Brave and Input Output (IO), the company-developer Cardano.

Brave CEO Brendan Eich said that blockchain support will enhance safety and simplify interaction with decentralized services.

“Integration expands the multi-entry multi-access without prejudice to the selection of users,” he added.

The founder of Mynth protocol Robert Ruz in the commentary Cointelegraph called the step important for the growth of the Ecosystem Cardano:

“The infrastructure is ready – Dapps are now available through the Brave browser.”

He also noted the role of Midnight Sardin, which adds private smart contracts. The tool is developed by the subsidiary of IO, Shielded Technologies and allows you to hide metadata transactions.

Brave is already supporting Ethereum and Solana. The release emphasized that integration with Cardano will lay out the basis for working with Midnight and participate in the network management. Teams plan to develop tools for confidential calculations and cross -pins.

CEO Cardano Charles Hoskinson proposed introducing free transactions for NFT owners – by analogy with free accounts in Web2.

In November 2024, the cryptographer suggested Ripple to consider the integration of Midnight and the launch of the regulated stablecoin RLUSD in the blockchain in charge of it.
