The Brazilian Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that 124 patients had died in the past 24 hours due to complications of COVID-19 and 3,720 cases of SARS-CoV-2 had been confirmed, noting, however, that the data were incomplete, as six of the 27 entities of the federation due to cyber attacks that suffered last Friday.
Latin America’s largest country in the Americas, with a population of 212 million, has recorded 617,395 deaths since the outbreak of the new coronavirus. Infections reached 22,204,941; Brazil remains third in the world in terms of the number of cases, behind the US and India, at least according to official figures.
