Brazil: 745 deaths, almost 17,000 cases in 24 hours

The Brazilian Ministry of Health informed yesterday Monday that 745 patients with COVID-19 succumbed in the previous 24 hours and 17,031 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed.

The official death toll from the new coronavirus pandemic in Latin America has reached 534,233 deaths out of a total of 19,106,971 infections.

Brazil, with a population of 212 million, has the second heaviest population in the world, behind only the United States.

Germany: 26 deaths and 646 cases in 24 hours

The confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 in Germany increased by 646 in the previous 24 hours, reaching 3,737,135, according to data published today, Tuesday, by the Robert Koch Institute, the country’s epidemiological surveillance body.

The deaths of 26 patients with Covid-19 during the same period increased the death toll from the new coronavirus pandemic to 91,259 deaths so far, according to the same source.
