Brazil: Bolsonaro’s son and two members of the government are infected with coronavirus

The son of the president of Brazil Zaich Bolsonaru and two members of his government announced today that they are positive in coronavirus.

According to APE-MPE, there are now four close aides who were diagnosed positive after the far-right leader’s trip to the United Nations.

Agriculture Minister Teresa Cristina, Attorney General Bruno Bianco and Senator Eduardo Bolsonaro confirmed their diagnoses via social media or their media representatives.

The news comes three days after Health Minister Marcelo Keiroga announced that he was diagnosed positive, while he was on a trip to New York, on the occasion of the UN General Assembly. The Brazilian Minister of Health has remained in quarantine in the USA.

Eduardo Bolsonaro: I did the first dose of the vaccine

Eduardo Bolsonaro also took part in his father’s mission to New York. He wrote in a Twitter message that he was positive for Covid-19, adding that he had been vaccinated with the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

The Georgian minister, who did not travel to New York, announced her diagnosis a week after meeting with G20 ministers in Italy.

“I was diagnosed positive in # Covid19. I’m fine. “I canceled all private meetings and will remain in solitary confinement for the period specified by the medical instructions,” he wrote in a tweet. The minister had been vaccinated against Covid-19.

Bianco’s press office said he was asymptomatic and in self-isolation, adding that he had received the first dose of a new coronavirus vaccine.
