Brazil recorded 578 deaths and 61,870 cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. The data were released by the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) this Thursday (3).
Since February 10, the country has had a drop in the moving average of cases, which reached 46,483, the lowest number since January 11.
The moving average of deaths reached 455 – the lowest number since January 27, when the index stood at 411.
Moving averages consider the average of the numbers recorded in the last seven days and serve to monitor the indicators of the pandemic without possible distortions caused by possible underreporting on weekends, but do not necessarily avoid distortions caused by possible underreporting on holidays, such as Carnival.
The country has reached 650,578 deaths from the disease and 28,904,030 cases since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
