At a time when the country faces a “new challenge”, as the Minister of Health, Marcelo Queiroga, said when referring to the fight against the Ômicron variant of the coronavirus, several municipalities are once again restricting security measures – previously relaxed – to contain the virus. advance of the contagion of the virus.

The platform also verified each of the country’s regions. The South region has a transmission rate above the national level with 1.76, followed by the Midwest with 1.68 and the Southeast with 1.64.

The North has 1.54 and the Northeast points to 1.37.

The state of São Paulo, for example, has registered an increase in the number of cases of Covid-19 and Influenza in recent weeks.

According to InfoTracker data, until January 17, the state had a 54.73% occupancy rate for ICU beds with coronavirus patients.
