Brazil reaches 75% of the population vaccinated with at least one dose

In the last 24 hours, 551,574 doses of vaccines against Covid-19 were applied in Brazil, adding up to the 1st and 2nd doses, and a single Janssen dose.

The day on which the most doses were applied in the country was the 8th of November, when 4,157,592 doses were applied. Brazil is in 4th place among the countries that applied the most absolute doses.

If considering doses applied for every 100 inhabitants, Brazil is in 38th place.

According to the Ministry of Health, the numbers show that “vaccination is the best way to contain the pandemic”.

Also according to the folder, Brazil applied more than 315 million doses of immunizing agents against Covid-19 until this Sunday (12).

Lower number of deaths by Covid

November 2021 is the month with the lowest number of deaths by Covid-19 since April 2020. Compared to October this year, the drop in the number of deaths was 38%.

So far, more than 90% of the vaccinated population has at least one dose in the arm, the equivalent of nearly 160 million people in the target audience, according to the Ministry of Health.

About 80% of the population took two doses of the vaccine, which corresponds to 139.4 million people.
