Brazil records 137 deaths from Covid-19 in 24 hours

Brazil recorded this Thursday (5) 137 deaths and 21,682 cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to data from the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass).

The increase in numbers compared to the previous day, which recorded 65 deaths and 20,072 infections, is because ParanĂ¡ and Rio Grande do Sul included cases and deaths that were dammed up under investigation, according to Conass.

Acre did not notify new data due to failure to access the information base and that is why the same numbers sent yesterday were kept.

As a result, the moving average of deaths was 96. The moving average of cases reached 15,038.

These moving average indices consider the last seven days and serve to monitor indicators of the epidemiological situation in the country without any distortions caused by underreporting on weekends.

The country has 663,896 deaths and 30,524,183 infections from the disease since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.
