Brazil records 263 deaths and 33,937 cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours

Brazil recorded, in the last 24 hours, 263 deaths and 33,937 cases of Covid-19, according to data released by the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass), this Wednesday (30).

Today, the moving average of deaths, which has been falling for five consecutive days, marks 215, the lowest level since January 19, when the index was 212.

The average number of cases is 26,540 – the lowest number since January 7 (23,243), before the outbreak of infections caused by the Ômicron variant.

The indices consider the average number of infections and deaths recorded in the last seven days. The data allow monitoring of the pandemic indicators without possible distortions caused by possible underreporting on weekends.

In all, the country has recorded 659,504 deaths and 29,916,334 cases of Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
