Brazil recorded, this Wednesday (20), 346 deaths from Covid-19 and 56,480 new infections from the disease in the last 24 hours, according to data released by the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass).
As a result, the moving average of deaths, which considers the last seven days, grew by 77% in one month. This Wednesday, the average was 248. For comparison purposes, on June 20, the indicator was 140.
The floating number of cases was 53,931 today. A month ago, the index was at 36,775 — an increase of 46%.
The state of Rio Grande do Sul recorded, in the last 24 hours, 4,047 cases of Covid. In Minas Gerais, there were 8,052 and in São Paulo, there were 8,303 infections in the period.
In Bahia, there were 3,630 and in Santa Catarina, the secretariats recorded 1,842 contaminations.
With the updates, the country has recorded 33,454,294 infections and 676,217 fatalities from Covid since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
