Brazil records 36 deaths and more than 3 thousand cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours

Brazil recorded 36 deaths and 3,809 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to an update from the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass), held this Sunday (24). With the number, the country reaches 662,646 deaths and 30,349,463 cases.

Rondônia’s death data were reviewed by the local Health Department, with correction of inconsistencies and duplications.

The moving average of cases for the last seven days was 13,835. The average number of deaths was 98 deaths.

Last Friday (22), Minister of Health, Marcelo Queiroga, signed the ordinance that establishes the end of the Public Health Emergency of National Importance (Espin) established in February 2020 due to the coronavirus.

The decisions made official in the document take effect 30 days after publication in the Official Gazette of the Union.

“The ordinance is a simple normative act: in the ordinance, we establish a vacancy period, that is, this ordinance will only come into force 30 days after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Union. It should be published in an extra edition of the Official Gazette”, said Queiroga after signing.
