Brazil records 77 confirmed cases of monkeypox

Brazil has already recorded at least 77 cases of monkeypox, according to a survey carried out by the CNN this Sunday (3). The last update was made at 10:40 am this Sunday.

São Paulo is the state with the highest number of confirmed cases (52). Next is Rio de Janeiro (16), Rio Grande do Sul (2), Minas Gerais (2), Ceará (2), Federal District (1), Paraná (1) and Rio Grande do Norte (1). In addition, the country has at least 29 suspected cases.

The Ministry of Health reported this Sunday that 76 confirmed cases of the disease were recorded. However, the first case in the confirmed Paraná had not yet been recorded by the folder.

According to the folder, 52 cases were recorded in São Paulo, 16 in Rio de Janeiro, two in Ceará, two in Rio Grande do Sul, two in Minas Gerais, one in Rio Grande do Norte and one in the Federal District.

The ministry also says that it continues to liaise directly with the states to monitor cases and trace patient contacts.
