Brazil says it will not be ‘intimidated’ by US ‘threats’ after Bolsonar’s conviction

Brazilian diplomacy stressed that the country would not be “intimidated” by the “threats” of the US, responding to Washington retaliation warnings following the conviction of far -right former President Zaich Bolsonaru for attempted coup. The “threats” such as those expressed by US diplomat leader Marco Rubio “will not intimidate our democracy,” the Brazilian Foreign Ministry stressed via X, stressing that the authorities would defend “the country’s national sovereignty” in any case.
