Brazil surpasses the mark of 65% of the population immunized against Covid-19

Brazil reached the mark of 65% of the general population with complete vaccination against Covid-19. The information comes from the survey carried out by CNN Agency with the State Health Departments.

Considering only the adult population, 86.72% of people have completed the vaccination course; 99.78% have already taken a dose of vaccine.

This rate includes people vaccinated with two doses of Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Coronavac, in addition to the single dose of Janssen vaccine. According to the CNN Agency, 138,788,288 Brazilians are immunized.

As for the booster dose, 9.28% of the general population has already been covered.

All vaccines applied in Brazil were approved by Anvisa and have proven efficacy against severe forms of Covid-19, as shown in a study by Fiocruz, released this Friday (10).

Quarantine for travelers

Last Tuesday (7), the Minister of Health Marcelo Queiroga announced that unvaccinated people who come to Brazil will have to undergo quarantine.

The measure would take effect this Saturday (11), but was postponed due to the hacker attack suffered by the Ministry of Health this Friday (10).
