Parts of the South, Southeast and Center-West of Brazil will have summer days later this week, according to Climatempo. This occurs when there is a sequence of more than four days with temperatures warmer than usual for winter or even autumn, the season in which we find ourselves.
Also according to Climatempo, an atmospheric blockage will establish itself over the southeast of the country, inhibiting the arrival of cold fronts. As a result, the weather is expected to be hot and dry in much of Brazil.
Meteorologists warn that São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Distrito Federal and Mato Grosso will have cooler nights, with a feeling of cold, but warmer afternoons with temperatures higher than the average predicted for this time of year.
In Rio Grande do Sul, temperatures can be between 5°C and 8°C above what is typical for the month, reaching between 28°C and 30°C.
In the west of São Paulo, maximum temperatures can reach 32°C. In Mato Grosso do Sul, in some cities to the west, thermometers may reach up to 35°C.
“The predicted maximums are not uncommon in occurring punctually in June, but what draws most attention is the duration of this warmer period”, reported Climatempo.
